Laying the base for Heather & Sandy's Seat

 As a result of the questionnaire the site chosen for the position of Heather & Sandy's seat, by popular vote, is behind the pump, to the rear of the grass triangle.
It was a dreich day for doing the work of laying the base, and securing the seat. Rain ended up stopping completion of the job, but before the deluge, the beautiful sandstone slabs which will form the base for the bench were laid. The slabs were kindly donated by Stancliffe Stone Company who operate the Locharbriggs Sandstone Quarry, and we are extremely grateful to them for their generosity.
