The exhibition at the weekend proved to be a great success,
with large numbers of visitors interested to learn about the history of our area.
There were many displays ranging from farming, mining, the
2 world wars to school, church and map displays. With many more
not mentioned here.
Morag's painstaking planning certainly proved to be well worthwhile
with many of the visitors appearing on both days, so much was there
to take in.
It was also an opportunity for our scattered community to meet up
with old friends not seen over the winter months, and also
to meet some new residents to the area.
The teas and coffees along with home baking were most welcome
as it is thirsty work looking at, and discussing the various displays!
Morag thanked all the contributors as well as giving out various
prizes for the best display, and the photographic competition.
