Kirkton Post Office operates from the
Village Hall on Tuesday and Thursday
mornings from 9am-11am.
It offers the following services:
Postal
Services:
Sending letters and
packages (either standard delivery, special delivery, signed for service or
parcelforce for bigger items to UK and International destinations). She can scan barcode labels from firms such as
Amazon for returning goods. You can also buy Stamps of all values.
Post Office
Card Account:
This is the card that
people get various DWP payments paid into.
You can get cash withdrawals and do card management tasks.
Other
Banking:
Chip and pin services for
cash withdrawals and deposits for most banks (RBS, Bank of Scotland,
Clydesdale, Santander, TSB, Lloyds Nationwide and more) Also Cheque deposits
into these banks with a pay in slip.
Postal
Orders:
These act like cheques for
those who do not have a cheque book or bank account and can be made out in a
secure fashion. There is a small fee for these.
Electronic
Bill Payments:
Any utility/council/housing
and other bills can be paid in the Post Office either using paper bills that
customers get through the door or with magnetic strip bill payments
cards. Please note that paper bills must state that they can be processed
in the post office but if a customer has one that does not say this, the giro
slip can be posted to the bill provider with a postal order.
e top-ups:
For mobile phone top ups (all networks) and prepayment electricity and gas keys
(only for major suppliers, most of the newer small suppliers are not supported
by the Paystation that Post Office use.)
