What you need to do :-
Contact your service Provider to request this service.
What they will do:-
There is a set up fee of £30.00 to be paid on ordering
the service. This pays towards their admin and engineer services. This fee is
standard for all providers.
There will be an increase in your monthly payment for this
service which can range from, depending on providers, around £5.00 to £10.00 per month
You can expect to wait a few weeks depending on
provider as there seems to be a huge demand for this at present which is causing a backlog.
When it is your turn in the queue, you will get
a phone call to arrange for an engineer to come out to your house.
The engineer will switch fibre service on at
your local exchange then will come to your property where he will install a
white box next to your router/phone line. He will require access to your
property to do this.
He will then
test that all is well and working properly, and you will now be up and running.
Not everyone in the area can access superfast
Broadband yet. To find out if you are connected to one of the new Fibre enabled
cabinets, people need to go to this BT webpage and put in their telephone
number. It will then tell you if you can get fibre or not, and how fast it
should be.
.
Good Luck to you all and enjoy your new service.
With apologies for layout Blogger is playing up today.
