At the start of this year we were told to expect Superfast Broadband to reach us by June.June has come and gone, as have July and August. In a test this weekend of broadband speeds in random areas the results show:-
Glasgow Saturday - 14.8 Mb/second
· Darvel Ayrshire Saturday - 12.7 Mb/second
· Kirkton Saturday - 0.6 Mb/second
· Kirkton Tuesday - 0.36 Mb/second
We are hardly galloping forward in the 21st Century.
Apparently the engineer has informed us in an oblique way that there are
"A number of significant engineering challenges"
Whatever that means!
if If you feel this is an unsatisfactory answer to our question as to why we have still not got our Superfast Broadband please send your comments to Neil Munro
